The drug candidate is based on a protease inhibitor molecule - an area the Danish researchers are experts in.
The first Aarhus satellite will provide both students and scientists with an opportunity for a new approach to research via satellites in a new collaboration with the Danish space company GomSpace A/S. The project’s core mission is to study the way nanosatellites can be used to carry out scientific investigations. The satellite is called AUSAT-1, and it is funded by the Aarhus University Research Foundation.
The university's research grant database ResearchFunding.net is now being supplemented by an external database called Research Professional, which all AU employees can access. For the individual researcher, this means thousands of new calls and far more flexible opportunities to e.g. generate lists that can be shared with colleagues.
A new symposium and a workshop intend to teach researchers involved in animal experimental studies how to carry out systematic literature studies. This is necessary as preclinical animal studies are of such poor quality in research contexts that international high-impact journals are writing about the issue.
