The corona crisis appears to have had a negative impact on the mental health of the Danish population, but research from Aarhus University shows that the psychological well-being had improved already by the end of April.

The European Commission has approved an ambitious collaboration project between AU and six other European universities. Together, they can now call themselves the 'European University Alliance'. The title comes with a grant of 5 million euros.
After many years of close collaboration, AU and Deakin University in Australia have now made it official. This will be particularly beneficial for student mobility, but AU can also learn from Deakin’s digital activities.
Aarhus University's historical collection has been transferred to the Science Museums. The museums mark this by giving all employees and students at Aarhus University free admission to the Steno Museum. This also applies to daily shows and guided tours in the planetarium during the summer holidays. Admission to the Greenhouses is already free for all visitors.
As expected, applications to Denmark’s higher education degree programmes have increased this year – this also applies to Aarhus University, which has received 5% more first-choice applications compared to last year. Preliminary figures show that engineering and IT degree programmes have seen the greatest increase.
AU wants to make sure that students and employees get the best value for money when they dine at the university’s canteens. So the university has decided to put some canteen operation contracts out to tender. This will also mean the closure of three canteens in Aarhus.
