How to Apply

Applying for admission

Aarhus University welcomes applications from nominated students from partner universities. Please contact the International Office or exchange coordinator at your home university to find out if there is an agreement with Aarhus University, if you are eligible to apply, and to obtain information regarding courses and selection procedure.

Once you have been nominated by your home university, you will receive an email from Aarhus University inviting you to activate your AU account and proceed with the exchange application.

Only nominated students will be able to access the application module.   

DOCUMENTS TO BE INCLUDED WITH YOUR APPLICATION

  • Official transcript of records from your home university - a list of all the courses that you have completed at your home university, including your grades. This document must be in PDF format and must be in English. If you have taken courses at more than one university, ensure that you submit transcripts showing all your courses and grades. 
     
  • Bachelor degree diploma and transcript  for applicants seeking admission to master-level courses. This  document must be in pdf format and in English, and it must list the courses that you have completed during your Bachelor degree. If you have taken courses at more than one university, ensure that you submit transcripts showing all your courses and grades. 
     
  • Documentation for English language skills.  Depending on the department/faculty to which you wish to apply for exchange, some applications must also include this documentation. Follow the link to check if this requirement applies to you. 
     
  • Copy of passport OR national identity card  (National identity card is an option for EU citizens only) 

    Please note that your application cannot be submitted until you have uploaded all required documents.
