AU Intro Days 2025 for all new international students

Sunday January 26: Welcome Event

Who: All new international students at AU

Time: Sunday 26 January, time: 12:00 - 16:00

Place: On campus: Lakeside Auditoriums (Søauditorierne), Bartholins Allé 3, 8000 Aarhus C (see map here)

Host: International Office, AU

Programme (content and times are subject to change): 

This is your first day on campus! We will welcome you and you will get a great chance to meet your fellow students and to be introduced to your new university and city, as well as Danish culture and language.

Presentations: 

12:15 - 13:00: Welcome to Aarhus University, the city of Aarhus and Aarhus Studenthouse (45 mins) 

13:10 - 13:55: Introduction to Danish (45 mins) 

13:55 - 14:05: Q&A with current students 

After presentations 14:00 - 16:00:

  • Be introduced to Trust and what it means for Danish culture (a short film with AU Professor Gert Tinggaard Svendsen will be shown several times during this afternoon)
  • Visit our handpicked info- and student relevant booths.
  • Enjoy fun games and relax hanging with your fellow students and the Studenthouse.
  • Come by the AU Water Bottle booth to pick up your free Water Bottle.

The day is 100% FREE for you!  

Monday January 27: Online CPR Q&A Event

If you have questions about getting your social security number, you are welcome to drop into this Q&A session, where we will be ready to answer your questions (it is optional).

Who: All new international students at AU (optional)

Time and date: January 27 from 9:00 - 10:00 

Place: Online, link will be sent by mail

Host: International Office, AU

Wednesday February 5: International Student Organisations Fair

Do you want to join a sportsclub, learn Danish, become a volunteer or meet cultural organisations? Then come by our International Student Organisations Fair! Here you can meet 25+ different clubs, language schools and student relevant organisations.

Date: Wednesday February 5

Time: 15:30 - 17:30

Place: Stakladen at Studenterhus Aarhus, Ndr. Ringgade 3, 8000 Aarhus C (see map here)

Social events

During the first few weeks of the semester Studenterhus Aarhus (International Student House) and the central international office will organise a number of social events for all new international students. 

You can find the program here when it is ready. The programme can be subject to changes.
