The Old Town: Denmark's Market Town Museum

The Old Town is an open-air museum where it’s truly like walking into a time capsule. The Old town is a living picture of life in Denmark from 300 years ago and up to 1974. The town not only allows you to experience 75 historical houses from 24 different cities in Denmark from the outside, but you can also explore them from the inside. You will get a feeling of what it was like to live back then and to see how Danes made their way of living, for example by talking to the live actors dressed in clothes from that time. A newer part of the city opened recently - the area in the era of the 1970’s. From the outside, you can see how the shape and colors of the buildings have changed and inside you can have a look at things connected to some great authentic Danish musicians and politicians from a revolutionary time. Here, you’ll get an idea of how these influential people have contributed to shaping Danish culture. It is a great place to visit for both children and adults, where you will be able to get inside the old houses and see how they lived in Denmark many years ago. You will also be able to get food and drinks in there.

Marselisborg Deer Park and Infinite Bridge

Is there a better way to spend your afternoon than petting cute deer in a beautiful forest? We don’t think so! Therefore, we think that you should definitely plan a trip to Marselisborg Deer Park. The park is a part of the beautiful Marselisborg forest, which is around 750 hectares, is placed in the southern part of Aarhus. The landscape is hilly and the park is filled with sika deer, fallow deer and wild boar. The forest is a good representation of what a lot of Danish nature is like. The deer are very tame so if you bring some carrots or apples, you can feed them and come all close to them. Definitely an experience of a lifetime! After visiting the Deer Park, you should go to the Infinite Bridge right next to it, which is a completely round bridge which gives a unique 360 degree view over Aarhus Bay.
