The regular student dormitories in Denmark have an age limit of 18-35 years. If you are a student and older than 35, you therefore cannot live in a regular dormitory. Read more below.

  • Is not an option as their age limit is 18-35 years. Are you older than 35, you should look at the alternatives described below.

Basecamp and arcHOUSE

Private market

  • You will find a large number of apartments at the private market.

Aarhus Bolig

  • AARHUSbolig is a waiting list collaboration between all public housing organizations in Aarhus and the surrounding area. The collaboration is a great advantage for those looking for housing: You only need to be on one central waiting list to access 45,000 homes in the Aarhus area. You need to pay a fee (100-400 DKK/year) to sign up at the waiting list. No age limits.

AU Housing

  • AU Housing offers housing to specific categories of students only. We have one dorm offering rooms for students over 35 years (single rooms only). All our other housing options are for students 18-35 years. We offer temporary accommodation for your first  months in Denmark. Your contract cannot be extended. If you are staying for a longer period, we recommend that you start exploring your housing options as soon as possible after your arrival, in preparation for when your contract with us ends.
