Security and Resilience

Systems Engineering and Resilience Engineering will be used as the foundational perspectives on security and resilience. This means the course will cover these themes:

  • Use lightweight SysML context and mission‑thread models for business services, suppliers, and obligations; link risks, controls, and recovery strategies to model elements (aligned to ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288).
  • Document organizational architectures with ISO/IEC/IEEE 42010 viewpoints (e.g., risk, continuity, supply chain) for decision transparency.
  • Develop concise assurance cases (GSN/CAE) per ISO/IEC/IEEE 15026‑2 to support board‑credible claims (e.g., RTO/RPO feasibility).
  • Apply NIST SP 800‑160 (Systems Security & Cyber‑Resiliency Engineering) at the program/operating‑model level (roles, metrics, scenarios).
  • Reference SysML v2 concepts for clearer requirements and traceability
