Responsible and Sustainable Finance

This course equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage and pursue careers in responsible investing and sustainable finance. The learning activities spline together both a financial market perspective of responsible investing and essential sustainable enterprise business models.

In addition to investigating how sustainability can be integrated into the decision-making, students will critically evaluate the role of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors in business management, investment analysis, and portfolio construction.

Specific topics include evaluation of ESG factors, prioritising sustainability in business strategy, and comparisons of different sustainable finance instruments, analysing environmental and social impact of sustainable investing, and communicating the benefits and challenges of sustainable finance to investors, stakeholders, and communities.
