Sports Gambling as a Financial Market

Are you interested in learning more about financial markets and sports gambling?

In this course, we will cover investing and betting terminology, principles, and strategies. We will also look at the similarities between sports betting and investing in the market. The course will involve using current, real world data involving actual betting lines, and other investment instruments. The aim of the course is to help you develop your knowledge and skills to make informed financial and betting decisions.

Admission Requirements

Course specific:

To apply for the course you must either be enrolled in a bachelor's degree, have a bachelor's degree or have passed a qualifying entry examination.

It is recommended that students have completed courses in: Business Statistics or equivalent, Microeconomics (Business economics), and/or Finance or Microeconomics.

Academic profile

James Francisco is Associate Professor and the Chair of Department at the department of Economics at Auburn University Montgomery.

He obtained his Bachelors in Economics and Spanish from the university of Auburn in 2002, and his Masters from the University of Texas School of Law in 2005. He wrote his doctorate in Applied Economics at the University of Auburn.
