"R Essentials for Business Analytics: Unlocking Data Insights" is a comprehensive course designed to take students from mastering the basics of R and RStudio to applying advanced techniques in business data analysis. The course begins with a solid introduction to R, covering its philosophy, syntax, and essential commands. Students will also learn fundamental visualization techniques using basic R graphics and the ggplot package.

As the course progresses, students will focus on data preprocessing to ensure clean, usable data. They will engage in practical exercises with real-world data sets to address various business analytics challenges. Additionally, the course emphasizes the use of RMarkdown to effectively organize and present work, integrating code, outputs, and text descriptions into well-structured reports.

Students will also develop skills in interpreting and presenting their findings, using visualization tools to enhance data insights. By the end of the course, students will have a robust skill set in R programming, data preparation, advanced analytics techniques, and effective storytelling. Admission Requirements

Course specific:

To apply for the course you must either be enrolled in a bachelor's degree, have a bachelor's degree or have passed a qualifying entry examination.

Furthermore, the following is strongly recommended:

  • Basic Knowledge of Statistics: Understanding fundamental statistical concepts and techniques, such as mean, median, variance, correlation, and basic probability.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with using computers and common software applications. Experience with spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) is helpful but not required.
