The Circle U. Ambassadors

Europe calling! Would you like to spread the word about Circle U. to your fellow students?

Circle U. Circle Who? Perhaps you already know AU’s European university alliance Circle U. - perhaps you don’t. Either way you can now become a voluntary Circle U.-ambassador at AU and help spread the word about the alliance’s many international offers and activities among your fellow students.

So if you are interested in other cultures, enjoy meeting other students in an international environment and like to communicate and organise events, then you might be the one we're looking for.

What is Circle U.?

Circle U. is a European university alliance, where AU works together with eight other universities to strengthen opportunities for exchange in new and exciting ways. Apart from traditional exchange, Circle U. also organises many other international offers that allow you and your fellow students to add an international touch to your studies without necessarily going abroad for a whole semester.

Collaborate with students at AU and across Europe

As a Circle U. ambassador, you will be part of a group of approximately 5 AU students who will be responsible for planning events and communication efforts about the Circle U. alliance aimed at students at AU. You will also be expected to participate in exciting events and student fairs at AU to promote the alliance and its offers.

You will be part of a network of students from the other alliance universities in London, Berlin, Belgrade, Oslo, Paris, Louvain. Vienna and Pisa - and you will be supported by Circle U. employees - both at Aarhus University and at Circle U.’s central office in Brussels.

You will also get to meet up physically for the annual get-together, which takes place in Vienna on 20-21 November 2025.

What do I get out of participating?

• You will gain practical experience with communication and event planning for your CV, and we will be happy to provide you with a positive reference and a certificate based on your active participation as an ambassador
• You get to expand your network locally across AU and internationally across the participating universities
• You will have the opportunity to participate in a physical event for all participating students in Vienna in November 2025
• You will get to practice your English and other languages such as German, French and Italian.

What does it require of me?

You might have participated in a Circle U. event yourself, but this is not a requirement. You might also have had experience in planning events, but this is not a requirement either.

The most important thing is that you enjoy communicating (also in English) and that you want to develop exciting events and communication efforts that can create positive awareness of Circle U. among AU's students.

We only require that…

• you are a Bachelor’s student at AU or a first-year Master’s student
• you will be able to attend an online meeting every 4 weeks and spend about 1 hour a week on the job
• you are happy to join an international group with English as the working language
