The Circle U. Ambassadors

Would you like to help spread the word about Circle U. among students at AU?

Circle U. is a European university alliance, where AU works together with eight other universities to strengthen opportunities for mobility among students and staff.

Aarhus University is currently looking for voluntary Circle U.-ambassadors, who will help increase awareness of the alliance and its offers and activities among the university's students from September 2024.

Do you have an international mindset, do you like to communicate, and do you want to help tell the good stories about Circle U.? Then it's you we're looking for.

Collaborate with students at AU and across Europe

As a Circle U. ambassador, you will be part of a group of AU students who will be responsible for planning events and communication efforts about the Circle U. alliance aimed at students at Aarhus University.

You will be part of a network of students from universities in London, Berlin, Belgrade, Oslo, Paris, Louvain, Vienna and Pisa - and you will have the opportunity to meet once a year for the annual get-together at one of the 9 universities in the alliance.

The group will be supported by Circle U. employees - both at Aarhus University and at Circle U.’s central office in Brussels.

What do I get out of participating?

• You will gain practical experience with communication and event planning for your CV, and we will be happy to provide you with a positive reference and a certificate based on your active participation as an ambassador
• You get to expand your network locally across the entire university and internationally across the participating universities
• You will have the opportunity to practice your English and to participate in a physical event for all participating students somewhere in Europe (time and place to be decided)

What does it require of me?

You might have participated in a Circle U. event yourself, but this is not a requirement. You might also have had experience in planning events, but this is not a requirement either.

The most important thing is that you enjoy communicating (also in English) and that you want to develop good events and communication efforts that can create positive awareness of Circle U. among AU's students.

We only require that…

• you are a student at AU and will be available for the coming academic year starting from September 2024
• you will be available to help plan 1 t0 2 events per semester (there is no fixed meeting schedule)
• you have a good command of English (Danish is not a requirement)
• you have a strong interest in communication and event planning in an international environment
