Aarhus University’s Visitors’ Service is staffed by students employed at Events and Communication Support.
The Visitors’ Service offers free guided tours of the university for groups. You arrange the meeting point and departure time for the tour with our students, and the time slots depend on their study plans. The tours include a guided tour of selected buildings at the university and in the University Park. The tours are conducted by students with general knowledge of the history of Campus Aarhus, as well as its architecture, art works and study life.
A typical tour takes approximately one hour. We recommend you to wear sensible walking shoes, as the distance covered is actually between two and three kilometres. You can also combine your tour with a visit to one of the university’s museums, including lunch or coffee in one of the university’s canteens. However, you are personally responsible for organising this.
Free guided tours are available for all interested groups (minimum five people), such as schools, associations and companies.
However, we cannot offer guided tours for private groups.
The Visitors’ Service offers guided tours from Monday to Thursday between 08.00 and 17.00 and on Fridays between 08.00 and 14.00, and we can conduct tours in Danish or English. Please note that we charge a fee for guided tours from Monday to Thursday after 17.00, as well as on Fridays after 14.00 and at weekends. For these tours, we charge a fee of DKK 1,875, VAT included.
