Circle U. Language Tandem

Students with an interest in improving their foreign language skills can register for the language tandem program which is organized by the International Center as part of the Circle U. alliance. With this project we will try to connect you to a partner who is a native speaker in the language you want to improve and who is interested in learning your native language. In this way you can both improve your language skills. Further, you will get to know fellow students, expand your network, share your culture, and help another student.

For all international students it is important to know that you do not necessarily have to be able to speak Danish. You can still take part in the Language Tandem project to meet a Danish student, experience the culture, get to know the city better and learn some basic phrases.

How it works

We will invite you to a match day, where you can get to know your assigned partner.

After that a language tandem is uncomplicated: Together with your tandem partner, you agree when, where and how often you want to meet. You can also decide for yourself which topics you would like to discuss with your tandem partner. This allows you to be largely flexible and to improve your language skills matching your fields of interest.

Kick-Off Event

At our Kick-Off-Event you will get to know your assigned language tandem partner. We cannot promise a match for you, but will do our best to find one.

The match day will take place 1 October at 16:00 at Studenterhus Aarhus (Nordre Ringgade 3, 8000 Aarhus C).

Registration

By filling out our sign up form, you can register for the language tandem project and hopefully meet your partner at our Kick-Off-Event 1 October. We will let you know on 26 September whether or not we have found a partner for you.

Deadline to sign up is 25 September.

If you signed up last year, you are more than welcome to sign up again.
