The Language Tandem is an offer for all AU students with an interest in improving their foreign language skills. Register for the language tandem program, and we will try to connect you to a partner who is a native speaker in the language you want to improve and who is interested in learning your native language. In this way you can both improve your language skills. As part of a tandem exchange, you will get to know fellow students, expand your network, share your culture, and help another student.
For international students prior knowledge of Danish is not required, however, an interest in learning it is encouraged and expected. Both exchange students and full degree students are welcome.
Register via the registration button on the right. If we find a match for you, we will invite you to a kick off event, where you can get to know your assigned partner or group.
After the kick-off, a language tandem is uncomplicated: Together with your tandem partner or group, you agree when, where and how often you want to meet. You can also decide for yourself which topics you would like to discuss with your tandem partner. This allows you to be largely flexible and to improve your language skills matching your fields of interest.
At our Kick-Off Event you will get to know your assigned language tandem partner. We cannot promise a match for you, but will do our best to find one.
An expert from the language center that teaches Danish to international students will be there to guide you on how to get started. You will receive tips and tricks on how to make the most of your tandem experience.
The next Kick-Off Event will take place 5 October from 17.00-18.30. Students who have been matched with a tandem partner or group will receive an invitation to the event directly.
Important
Please note that we prioritise matching students who can make it to the kick-off event. It is our experience that this makes for the most succesful tandems.
