About sharing accommodation
In the studios at Birk Center you can stay alone or you can find a roommate to share with. However, there are some conditions that must be followed:
- Only 1 of the persons needs to apply for accommodation via AU Housing.
- Only 1 contract will be issued and this will be to the housing applicant. He/she is then in charge of finding a roommate to share the room with.
- It is the responsibility of the contract holder to claim the rent from the roommate, as well as to pay the subsequent monthly rent to AU Housing.
- When the contract holder terminates the lease and vacates the room, then the roommate must vacate the room as well on the same date.
- The studio is furnished with a single bed, one table and one chair. If you want to share the studio with another person, you need to find extra furniture yourself.
