The Department of Animal and Veterinary Sciences (ANIVET) at Aarhus University is looking for a strategic fundraiser and project developer to join our department for a 4-year period. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support and develop research projects within Animal and Veterinary Sciences collaborating with our scientists and a range of national and international partners. Responsibilities

As fundraiser, you will play a central role in ensuring the smooth operation of our strategic research projects. You will be working closely in a team with other colleagues supporting funding and project management in the department’s secretariat, and your key tasks will include:
  • Fundraising activities to support further development of research ideas and projects among ANIVET scientists, especially within veterinary science.
  • Support to our department management and scientists with strategic fundraising within the department research areas, e.g. start-up grants and ECR.
  • Managing partnerships with national and international stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
  • Post award support to scientists such as coordination with AU’s project controllers, contract and GDPR legal advisors, and research consultants at other institutes, as well as to the faculty’s research advisors.
  • Supporting project managers and their research teams with other management tasks and coordination including the initial tasks during project planning and start up.


Qualifications

We welcome applicants with an interest and preferably knowledge in veterinary or animal sciences and with the following skills and attributes:
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to work proactively, methodically and efficiently.
  • Service-oriented mindset, with the ability to provide support and manage relationships in a professional manner.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Danish. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Familiarity with EU applications and reporting requirements is an advantage, but training will be provided.
