Fixed term full-time position 1 Sep 2024 - 31 Aug 2027 ID: 15767
About the project
Everyday life is filled with concerns and norms for morality, such as concerns for the welfare of others, fairness, and honesty. Yet, the role of morality has been scarcely addressed in research on autobiographical memory—that is, memory for the personal past. The aim of this project is to establish a new foundation for the study of autobiographical memory rooted in the hypothesis of a fundamental interplay between morality and memory. The senior researcher will work on memory and morality in relation to aging and life span development, as well as other topics of relevance to the project. The work will be conducted in collaboration with professor Dorthe Berntsen and members of our national and international team.Your qualifications
The applicant should have a PhD in psychology and extensive experience with conducting research involving older people as research participants. The applicant must have a genuine interest in developing and conducting research projects addressing the interplay between autobiographical memory and morality. The applicant must also have concrete knowledge of, and substantial experience with, research on autobiographical memory. In addition, we expect the applicant to have substantial experience with psychometric and neuropsychological tests, coding of verbal data, and to be a competent user of statistics programs, such as SPSS. Proficiency in Danish language is an additional requirement for this position.Position content
