The project is fully funded by Novo Nordisk Foundation in Denmark and applicant from both European and non-European centenaries are welcome to apply. The initial contract will be for two years, but it can be extended for one additional year.

Job descriptionThis project is multidisciplinary research that encompasses design, fabrication, and measurement. Accordingly, by joining the project you will be involved in the following tasks:
- Design of the sensor and more specifically ionic microchannels and electronic circuit.
- Developing the ionic micro-channels using micro/nano fabrication techniques specifically soft lithography.
- Developing flexible electronic circuits.
- Measurement of the sensor’s output signal and testing its performance.
- Mentoring graduate students who work on similar topics.
- Preparing the research manuscripts based on your research outcomes.
It is expected that the candidate has the expertise and research experience in the following areas: microfluidics, soft electronics, soft lithography, micro/nano fabrication techniques, wearable devices, sensors and actuators, data acquisition, and labview programming.
Knowing the basics of photography along with photo/video editing software and 3D modeling software would be highly valued, although these are not part of the requirements for the position.

Application procedureShortlisting is used. This means that after the deadline for applications – and with the assistance from the assessment committee chairman, and the appointment committee if necessary, – the head of department selects the candidates to be evaluated. All applicants will be notified whether or not their applications have been sent to an expert assessment committee for evaluation. The selected applicants will be informed about the composition of the committee, and each applicant is given the opportunity to comment on the part of the assessment that concerns him/her self. Once the recruitment process is completed a final letter of rejection is sent to the deselected applicants.

Formalities and salary rangeTechnical Sciences refers to the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Danish Universities under the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.

Salary depends on seniority as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Confederation of Professional Associations.
