New digital travel insurance cards from Europæiske
In connection with business travels abroad, you are covered by Europæiske’s travel insurance. The old plastic insurance card has now been replaced by a digital solution.
Hopefully, we will soon be able to travel again, and in the meantime, the travel insurance company Europæiske has replaced the physical travel insurance card with a digital service which AU employees on business trips abroad must use from now on.
Before, you had to show your travel insurance card if you, for example, needed to see a medical doctor or if the airline lost your luggage. The old plastic card had AU’s customer number and Europæiske’s contact information imprinted. Now it is sufficient to provide the following information:
- The insurance company (Europæiske)
- AU’s customer number (which is the same as AU’s CVR number)
This information can be found at the top of AU’s webpage about travel insurance.
If you wish to have the customer number available while travelling, you can print a paper version of the insurance card at Europæiske’s website.
Har du et fysisk rejseforsikringskort fra en tidligere rejse, er du velkommen til fortsat at benytte det.
Physical travel insurance cards have until now been distributed in the individual units at the university. In the time to come, the surplus travel insurance cards will be collected so that everyone gradually will start using the digital solution.
