FIVE AU RESEARCHERS RECEIVE SEMPER ARDENS GRANTS FROM THE CARLSBERG FOUNDATION
On Friday 1 February, five researchers from Aarhus University were awarded a Semper Ardens grant by the Carlsberg foundation. A total of 13 grants were awarded.
On Friday 1 February, five researchers from Aarhus University were awarded a Semper Ardens grant by the Carlsberg foundation. According to the foundation, the grants will help create scientific breakthroughs that will secure Denmark’s top position in international frontier research and contribute to solving the world’s great challenges. A total of 13 grants were awarded.
The following AU researchers have received a Semper Ardens grant:
- Professor Jeffrey S. Hangst, Department of Physics and Astronomy, for the ALPHA-3 Project
- Professor Michael Bang Petersen, Department of Political Science, for the project Center for Research on Online Political Hostility
- Professor Thomas Pohl, Department of Physics and Astronomy, for the project Quantum Control of Light
- Professor Andreas Roepstorff, School of Culture and Society, for the project Experimenting, Experiencing, Reflecting Art and Science at work in the public realm
- Troels Skrydstrup, Department of Chemistry, for the project The Science of Cleaving Strong Chemical Bonds
