Construction of the light rail may result in noise nuisance at Health
During the coming month, construction of the Aarhus Light Rail will include laying the rail tracks in the intersection between Nørrebrogade and Vennelyst Boulevard/Nørre Boulevard. This work may give noise nuisance at the Department of Biomedicine, the Department of Dentistry and at the School for Dental Assistants, Hygienists and Clinical Technicians (SKT).
The work of laying the rails in the Nørrebrogade - Vennelyst Boulevard/Nørre Boulevard intersection will begin in the evening of Friday 13 May. As this location is close to the southern part of the campus, it can result in noise nuisance for the Department of Biomedicine, the Department of Dentistry and SKT.
Working day and night
Aarhus Light Rail apologises in advance for any nuisance caused and is focused on completing the work as quickly as possible for the sake of both motorists and those living or working nearby. For this reason, Aarhus Municipality has granted Aarhus Light Rail exemption to work around the clock.
Friday night in particular could include noisy work as the asphalt in the intersection must be cut up and then dug up. The work is expected to take around one month to complete.
The construction work will not cause any noticeable vibrations.
