You can now register teaching and supervision in Pure

A new function in Pure makes teaching and supervision just as visible as publications, for example.

From 1 March, a new function in Pure is available to AU employees. "Teaching and supervision" is listed in the overview of types of content. You can register your teaching and supervision activities by clicking on “New”.

Camilla Dissing, a special consultant at AU Pure says that there are several advantages with the new feature:

"The option of registering teaching and supervision in Pure helps form a more complete picture of an employee's academic activities at Aarhus University. Furthermore, subject groups that don’t have a strong publication tradition will have more opportunities to make their work at AU visible," she says.

There are big advantages to using this feature and starting to register your activities straightaway. Your teaching activities will be included in reports and counted in statistics, and by registering your teaching activities now, you’ll avoid a backlog in registration if your organisation later requires that you register your teaching.

However, it will take some time before your teaching and supervision activities are shown on your personal AU website in the same way as the rest of your content on Pure. The current portal system will have to be changed first. Until then, you can display your teaching and supervision activities using your CV on Pure.

For additional information, visit the Pure website. Send any queries regarding the use of the Teaching and supervision content type to AU Pure Support at pure@au.dk.
