Welcome to Helene Tallaksen, new master student in Poul Henning Jensen's group from February 2020.
Helene has received a Novo Nordisk scholarship to complete her thesis work. She will be studying the pathogenic responses to alpha-synuclein aggregation in a primary neuronal culture model of Parkinson’s disease. Helene completed her internship in Professor Glenda Halliday’s group at University of Sydney as a collaborative project with the Jensen lab focusing on alpha-synuclein aggregation in human brain tissue and has in the last semester studied synuclein pathology in mouse brain tissue as part of the Research Honours Programme at The Graduate School of Health.
