Video: This is where researchers will work to fight the corona virus

Six researchers specialising in viral infections have been given special permission to circumvent the physical closure of the university in the name of corona research. Join Associate Professor Line Reinert for a look inside the high security laboratories in the Skou Building.

At this very moment, a team of researchers are preparing a laboratory for research into the corona virus in the otherwise closed Skou Building.

Associate Professor Line Reinert from the Department of Biomedicine shows us around the protected environment in the BSL (Biosafety Level) 2+ lab, in which researchers will be able to test patient blood samples for virus to determine whether herd immunity is developing. The goal is to contribute to a vaccine against the corona virus.

The research is headed by Professor Søren Riis Paludan. Read more about the research project.
