Update Invitation ECAN 2014 and inaugural lecture professor Gregor Luthe
Beyond the imagination... Thursday 16th January 2014
On behalf of the organizing committee we take great pleasure in inviting you to the second Euregional Conference of Applied Nanotechnology (ECAN2014). The conference will be held on the 16th January 2014 at the Wilminktheater in Enschede, The Netherlands.
Beyond the imagination...
The theme ‘Imagination is more important than knowledge’ (Einstein) framed the first edition of this conference, hosted by A.N.S. at Saxion University of Applied Sciences. The conference provided a setting for companies, academics and future researchers to engage in a range of scientific discussions and explore opportunities for future collaborations.
This year's conference theme is 'Beyond the imagination…'!
The Euregional area is known as a hotspot for High Tech Systems and Materials (HTSM) due to its unique infrastructure. The rapidly developing field of nanotechnology represents an important and expanding market. Many new products are possible, however the translation from innovative ideas to society-driven products needs a stimulus. To empower or facilitate the transfer from laboratory to industry this year’s conference aims to provide a platform for students, companies and institutes to strengthen economic activities in the Euregio. We strive to catalyze the commercialization process by sharing resources and intensifying the collaboration between our institutions.
The programme features interesting keynote and invited speakers from companies and institutes such as Philips, ASML, MESA+, Center for Nanotechnology Münster (CeNTech) and Saxion University of Applied Sciences.
The inaugural lecture entitled "Destination nanotechnology: a size powered quest for the future within the future" of professor Gregor Luthe will be part of the programme.
More information can be found in the (updated!) leaflet with the conference programme.
