Travel award from the Danish Diabetes Association

At a ceremony on Thursday, Jakob Schöllhammer Knudsen received a travel award presented by HRH Prince Joachim, protector for the Danish Diabetes Association.

On behalf of the Danish Diabetes Association, His Royal Highness Prince Joachim handed over a travel award to PhD student Jakob Schöllhammer Knudsen from DCE at a ceremony held in Copenhagen yesterday. The award comes with DKK 10,000, which will go towards a 6-month research stay at Sutter Health in San Francisco. Jakob’s PhD project focuses on the determinants for undertreatment of diabetes 2 and the resulting clinical consequences.

At the awards ceremony, consultant Reimar Thomsen from DCE gave a talk about patient involvement in diabetes treatment and care.
