Take part in the EDU-IT week at Health

Looking for inspiration for your teaching? Or do you want some help translating your ideas for digital teaching into practice? Then take part in the EDU-IT week at Health in October.

In the week beginning Monday 23 October, you can expect to learn something new, exchange ideas with colleagues and get help from the Centre for Health Sciences Education (CESU) as the faculty once again makes EDU-IT a special focal point.

CESU has no less than ten workshops planned with themes including how to implement IT in your own teaching and which pedagogical considerations you should take into account before you begin.

Each workshop is structured around a digital tool such as e.g. Mentimeter, Padlet and Blackboard, so you can plan and register according to what you find most interesting. And you are naturally welcome to register for multiple workshops.

The ten workshops include a demonstration of the particular tool, a discussion of pedagogical and didactic needs and also a presentation of ideas for practical use. You will also get an introduction to the concepts of flipped classroom, blended learning and learning design. These concepts represent different approaches to developing and planning your teaching – all with focus on implementing EDU-IT.

Participation is free of charge

As a member of teaching staff at Health, you can take part in all the workshops you wish free of charge. The only requirement is that you must register in advance. Registration is via CESU’s website and this is where you will find the deadlines for registration. The website also has more information on the different workshops and the complete programme for Health’s EDU-IT week which runs from 21 -25 October 2019.

Do your EDU IT projects need funding?

Both Health and AU have a new funding pool ready for teaching staff who want to try a new and more digital way of teaching. This year, there is a joint application process for the two pools with 11 October 2019 as the deadline for applications.

Find out more, including how to apply for funding, in the article ”DKK 2.5 million available for digitisation of teaching”.
