Study on liver cirrhosis in Hepatology

75% of patients with liver cirrhosis have already developed complications to the disease prior to getting the diagnosis. This is evident from a study by researchers from Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Department of Medical Gastroenterology at Aarhus University Hospital. The study results have just been published in Hepatology. Liver cirrhosis is among the most frequent causes of death among people from 25 to 65 years of age. Each year 1,500 Danes are diagnosed with liver cirrhosis.
