RUNSAFE Advisory Board Elected
On August 28th 2015, a 8-person RUNSAFE board was elected. The task for the RUNSAFE board is to develop and accept a 10-year strategy plan from 2015-2025 for RUNSAFE including vision, mission, goals, work package organisation and much more.
Over the years, RUNSAFE has surfaced in the international research community within running-related injuries. Our group has grown considerably in size. Today, it consists of more than 30 senior researchers; bachelor-, masters- and PhD students, international collaborators and partners from sports organisations and the industry. Owing to it´s size, a RUNSAFE board is needed to strengthen the organisation and easen the collaborations across disciplines. On August 28th 2015, a 8-person RUNSAFE board was elected.
The task for the RUNSAFE board is to develop and accept a 10-year strategy plan from 2015-2025 for RUNSAFE including vision, mission, goals, work package organisation and much more. On top, the management group should develop and agree upon 2-year action plans for RUNSAFE activities. The management group is in direct contact with Søren Kjærgaard, Leader of RUNSAFE and Head of Department of Public Health, Aarhus University and Rasmus Nielsen, Research coordinator of RUNSAFE.
The members of the board have different backgrounds within epidemiology, biostatistics, biomechanics, orthopedics, physiotherapy and rehabilitation. This diversity in backgrounds enables for a multidisciplinary approach to get beyond running-related injuries. Members of the board The following persons were elected as members of the RUNSAFE board:
