Eeva-Liisa Røssel Johansen, a third semester student on the Master's degree programme at Public Health Science at Aarhus University, will receive the HM Queen Margrethe II Travel Grant when the university holds its annual celebration.

Eeva-Liisa Røssell Johansen will receive the travel grant at Aarhus University's annual celebration on 14 September 2018. The grounds for the award include her being an extremely dedicated, talented and internationally-oriented student involved in many activities and with great potential.

In 2017, Eeva-Liisa Røssell Johansen completed her Bachelor’s degree with a project based on an analysis of Nordic registry data. She compared trends in breast cancer mortality rates between the Nordic countries and between regions within these countries in relation to the introduction of mammographic screening.

After completing her Bachelor’s project, Eeva-Liisa Røssell Johansen attended the ‘Nordic Summer School in Cancer Epidemiology’ alongside her regular studies. In the autumn of 2017, she wrote a draft of a scientific article on life expectancy among Norwegian cancer patients.
