PhD prize for DCE researcher
Prestigious PhD prize to DCE researcher Sigrún Johannesdottir Schmidt for her PhD thesis on herpes zoster.
Sigrún Johannesdottir Schmidt, MD, PhD, has received the Aarhus University Research Foundation’s 2018 PhD prize for her PhD “Herpes Zoster: Occurrence and risk factors”. The prize is awarded to five particularly talented researchers who have completed their PhD within the past year. Sigrún did her PhD at DCE and is still affiliated with our department as an external researcher and continues to study herpes zoster and other skin diseases.
