New unit to strengthen collaboration with industry
The new Corporate Relations and Technology Transfer unit will ensure that AU provides more effective service in relation to partnerships with business and industry.
Corporate Relations and Technology Transfer, a unit under the new administrative division AU Research Support and External Relations, is the result of a merger of the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI). The aim of the merger is to centralise services in the central administration related to corporate relations and partnerships in order to provide even better service to the university’s academic staff in relation to partnerships with business and industry. The new unit will also be integrated into the palette of services offered by the new administrative division. The unit will provide academic staff with all-round support for their research projects, including researcher mobility, grant applications, corporate research collaboration and research dissemination.
The unit is provisionally organised into four teams:
- Corporate Relations
- Academic Entrepreneurship (including the Student Incubator)
- Business Development
- Contracts
The unit is currently contributing to collaboration with both large businesses and SMBs. In addition, the unit is currently working with facilitating an internal network of industrial ambassadors, industry committees, alums, further and continuing education and national centres.
The manager of the new unit is Anette Poulsen Miltoft, who was formerly team leader of the legal advisers in TTO. Anette took up her new position on 1 June 2015, and she will play a major role in developing the unit’s relations to internal users at AU as well as with Central Denmark Region.
