Mia Lichtenstein Research Coordinator at SDU
Mia Beck Lichtenstein has become research coordinator in "Telepsykiatrisk Center" / Research Unit for E-mental Health at University of Southern Denmark
Since November 2015, Mia Beck Lichtenstein, who is well-recognized in RUNSAFE for her high-quality work on exercise addiction and psycological consequences of running injuries, has become research coordinator in "Telepsykiatrisk Center" / Research Unit for E-mental Health at University of Southern Denmark.
This center is unique in Denmark and strives to harness digital technologies for improvement of mental health treatment.
Vision and mission:
On their homepage the mission is highlighted as "Telepsykiatrisk Center medvirker til at frigive potentialer hos patienter, behandlere og pårørende gennem udvikling og anvendelse af telepsykiatri og digitale værktøjer i Region Syddanmark" while the vision is "Telepsykiatrisk Center i Region Syddanmark er Danmarks førende kompetencecenter inden for udvikling og anvendelse af teknologiske løsninger i psykiatrien."
Technology driven research:
Her research group values technologi-driven research in mental well-being. Mia says "We are pioneers with passion and tremendous energy. We work with everything from apps, games, video-based therapy and virtual reality" and she continues "We look forward to further strengthen our collaboration with RUNSAFE researchers and to use of competencies in E-mental health in a running injury context". Certainly, RUNSAFE wish Mia the best of luck with her lift-off as research coordinator and we look forward to fruitful scientific endeavours in the future.
