It’s time for the 2018 pay negotiations

From 1 March and the following two weeks, all employees at Health can apply for a pay increase as part of the salary negotiations for 2018.

If you believe you deserve a little more in your pay packet, you can nominate yourself for a pay increase via the digital form that is available on the AU staff page for salary negotiations.

You can only fill in and submit the salary negotiation form during the period 1-15 March 2018. You must complete the form regardless of whether you are an employee negotiating on your own behalf or whether your union representative will negotiate for you. Once you have completed the form and pressed 'submit form', the form will automatically be sent to the right person. You do not need to do more, which is new for 2018.

Prepare well

These salary negotiations cover the period 1 April 2017 - 31 March 2018. In other words, performance and competences from the past year form the basis of the salary negotiations. The grounds must be brief – no more than one page long.

On the AU staff page, you will find the criteria that form the basis for pay increases for the different units at Health. You must meet these criteria to be eligible for consideration.

In the salary negotiation form you must state whether you are applying for supplements or one-off bonuses. You can read more about the various types of supplements on the staff page.

If you are in doubt about who your union representative is, you can find them on the AU staff page on union representatives.

This year, the budget for salary negotiations is fixed at 0.7 per cent of the payroll costs in 2017.

If you have any questions about the annual salary negotiations, please do not hesitate to contact your immediate supervisor, union representative or HR partner.

The salary negotiation process 2018

  • Employees may recommend themselves for a pay increase via the salary negotiation form during the period 1-15 March.
  • Managers and union representatives can recommend pay increases during the period 1-15 March – this is also done via the salary negotiation form.
  • The salary negotiation form is sent via HR to the manager and the union representative who will conduct the negotiations. For employees negotiating on their own behalf, the form should only be sent via HR to the manager who will conduct the negotiations.
  • Managers and union representatives/staff negotiating on their own behalf prepare and negotiate during the period March - June.
  • Employees are informed about the outcome immediately after the negotiation period.
  • Payment of any pay increase takes place in connection with the June/July 2018 salary.
