Health gets three new AIAS fellows

Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) has just chosen 16 new AIAS fellows from all over the world. Three of them are health science researchers.

Over the next six months, Aarhus University will welcome 16 new AIAS fellows, and three of them will be affiliated with Health. 

The most talented junior and senior researchers from all over the world who also have at least two years of postdoctoral research experience can apply for AIAS research fellowships. 

On 1 October 2018, Honorary Professor Sâmia Joca and Postdoc Renee Van der Sluis will begin as AIAS fellows. Sâmia Joca is affiliated with the Department of Clinical Medicine, and Renee Van der Sluis is affiliated with the Department of Biomedicine. On 1 February 2019, Honorary Professor Gabriel Allen will begin. He is affiliated with the Department of Clinical Medicine.

Sâmia Joca comes from the Department of Physics and Chemistry/Pharmacology, University of São Paulo, Brazil; Renee Van der Sluis is from the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, University of Melbourne, Australia; and Gabriel Allen comes from Cambridge Psychiatry, Cambridge University, England.
