Health enters into a collaboration with the company Etac

All of Aarhus University's core activities are covered by a new collaboration arising from AU's desire to contribute to growth in society.

As of June 2016, Health has entered into a strategic collaboration for knowledge exchange with the company Etac, who are based in Horsens in the Central Denmark Region. Etac develops and produces aids for the social and healthcare sector and has many contact points with Health. The idea is to develop these into actual collaborative interfaces.

The focal point of the collaboration between Etac and Health is that it should cover all of Aarhus University's core activities: knowledge exchange, talent development, research and education.

As part of the agreement, Etac will also participate in a career guidance panel and a matchmaking event. In addition, the company will be available to provide guidance in connection with relevant Bachelor’s projects and Master’s thesis for students at Health. A further intention is that Etac will help to better equip graduates for future positions in the labour market, while the company also offers to collaborate with PhD students, and also has an Industrial PhD in the pipeline.

Finally, one of the expectations for the new partnership is that both parties can benefit from establishing collaborative interaction between issues that arise in the company and the research-based expertise found at Health.
