Grants for cancer studies
Research year student Frederikke Troelsen has recieved grants of DKK 170,000 in total for studies on gastrointestinal cancer and colorectal cancer.
Research year student Frederikke Troelsen from DCE has received a number of grants for her research year project ”Risk and prognosis of gastrointestinal cancer in the interval after a negative CT scan of the abdomen: A population-based nationwide cohort study”. The Danish Cancer Society has granted DKK 120,000 for carrying out the research year and DKK 31,000 for a research stay at Boston University while the Knud Højgaard Foundation has granted DKK 10,000 for the research stay.
In addition, Frederikke has received DKK 5,580 from the Danish Cancer Society and DKK 5,000 from the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology for attending the International Conference on Pharmacoepidemiology (ICPE), which is held in Prague in August. Frederikke will present results from the study ”Lower gastrointestinal bleeding and risk of colorectal cancer in users and non-users of low dose aspirin”.
