Funding to develop guidelines

DCE will coordinate a new initiative to develop and publish guidelines for validation studies within pharmacoepidemiology

In collaboration with researchers from University of Southern Denmark, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and University of Ottawa, DCE has received funding of USD 10,280 to develop a manuscript “Guidelines for Best Practices in Validation Studies in Pharmacoepidemiologic Studies that Use Routinely Collected Data”.

The funding is from the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE) and has been granted by the ISPE Strategic Planning Committee, which evaluated ten very high-quality proposals in response to its call for manuscripts this year. Five of these were funded.

DCE will coordinate the preparation of the new validation guidelines.
