Four Health researchers receive AUFF-grants
Aarhus University Research Foundation grants a total of DKK 6 million from its NOVA-programme to four researchers from Health. The funds will strengthen innovative research in fields such as fertility treatment and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.
Once again, Aarhus University Research Foundation is handing out its NOVA-grants, which are intended to initiate bold and innovative research projects with the potential for scientific breakthroughs. Four researchers from three of the faculty’s departments are among the recipients.
- Associate professor Karin Lykke-Hartmann from the Department of Biomedicine receives DKK 2,000,000 for the project ”Stimulating dormant eggs to improve fertility”.
- Professor Mogens Johansen from the Department of Forensic Medicine receives DKK 2,000,000 for his project entitled ”Discovery of small molecule glucagon receptor agonists using a dual combi-natorial screening and computational modelling approach – future oral drugs to combat NAFLD”
- Associate professor Lene Baad-Hansen from the Department of Dentistry and Oral Health receives DKK 1,400,000 for the project ”Genetic, epigenetic and nutritional risk factors for painful temporomandibular disorders ( TMD)”
- Associate professor Hanne Bjerregård Møller from the Department of Biomedicine receives DKK 600,000 towards the project ”Is OATP the key entry point for bile acids in the colon?”
