The Friedrich Miescher Institute (FMI) is affiliated with the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research and the University of Basel, and is situated at the interface of academic research and biomedical application.
The FMI International PhD Program provides advanced, interdisciplinary training in epigenetics, mechanisms of disease and neurobiology. MD PhD students admitted to the program receive theoretical and practical training, and conduct a research project under the supervision of an FMI Group leader, monitored by a Thesis Committee of university professors and experts chosen by the student.
Selected candidates receive fellowships with social benefits and are awarded with funds to participate in scientific meetings or for the acquisition of a laptop.
The application deadline for the call is September 18 2016.
