Final day for AU test sites on 30 July
AU’s ten supervised self-testing sites for staff and students are closing soon. The last day will be 30 June.
The demand for tests is declining in line with more Danes getting vaccinated, and with the summer holiday coming up, there is no longer a need for AU to provide supplementary test options for the university’s students and staff.
Since April, when AU established ten new supervised self-testing sites, approx. 41,000 students and staff have been tested. However, demand has been declining lately.
Kathrine Boserup Jensen,the project manager responsible for the university’s test set-up, would like to thank the 50 supervisors in Roskilde, Flakkebjerg, Foulum, Emdrup, Herning, Silkeborg and Aarhus who have carried out an important task and have helped make it possible for students and employees to participate in classes and work on campus.
“Putting together the supplementary self-testing set-up at Aarhus University has been a big project that many people across AU have taken part in – a project that only succeeded because we solved it together,” she says.
After 30 June, employees and students will still be able to use the the public test centres. It will still be possible to be tested at the Lakeside Lecture Theatres (PCR) and in Nobel Park (antigen test). On the Danish Health Authority’s website for public test centres you can find a test centre near you and see the opening hours.
