Dean Lars Bo Nielsen is leaving the Faculty of Health at Aarhus University to become the new director general of the Danish Medicines Agency.

Lars Bo Nielsen, who has been dean of the Faculty of Health at Aarhus University since 2017, will be the new director general for the Danish Medicines Agency from 1 August.

“It is a major loss for both the faculty and for Aarhus University. Lars Bo Nielsen has led the faculty with great skill and has been at the forefront of its positive development during recent years.  In addition, Lars Bo has been a valued member of the senior management team; we have enjoyed his great insight and highly valuable contributions. The Danish Medicines Agency is getting an extremely skilled and experienced director, and I wish Lars Bo all the best in his new post.”
