Congratulations to Peter Breining who has been extended as postdoc in Nykjærs group

Peter Breining has been extended as postdoc from March 1 2020 until September 2022. He will investigate the function of members of the sortilin receptor family on neuronal insulin receptor signaling with special focus on memory formation and cognition. To do so, he will use viral injections in transgenic mice, behavioral studies, RNA scope in situ hybridization, and confocal microscopy. Besides murine and cellular studies, Peter will collaborate with physicians at Aarhus University Hospital to facilitate the translation of his findings to a clinical setting.
