Awards and grants

Research year student at Department of Clinical Epidemiology Tobias Pilgaard Ottosen has received ”The Young Investigator Award” of EUR 500 at the European Stroke Conference 2014 in Nice, France where he gave two oral presentations on the project “Thirty-Year Trends In First-Time Hospitalization For Subarachnoid Hemorrhage And Subsequent Short- And Long-Term Mortality”.

In relation to the International Stroke Conference, held in San Diego, USA, Tobias received a travel award for young investigators including free registration and USD 1,000. He gave an oral poster presentation with the title “Lack Of Improvement In Incidence And Case-fatality Of First Time Hospital Admission With Intracerebral Hemorrhage In Denmark 2004-2012”.

Furthermore, Tobias has received a grant of DKK 120,000 from Danish Stroke Center/the Tryg Foundation for salary expenses.
