Award for best oral presentation
Research year student Carina Bagge from Department of Clinical Epidemiology has received a young investigator award for the best oral presentation by medical students and residents in the section of cardiology and cardiac surgery at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) National Conference & Exhibition, which has just been held in San Francisco, USA. The award includes a diploma and USD 800. Carina won the award for her presentation about the project “The Risk of Dementia in Adults with Congenital Heart Disease: A Nationwide Cohort Study”. The conference had 30,000 attendees and, as far as is known, it is the first time that someone from abroad has won the price.
