AU and AUH has a new professor of cancer treatment
Karen-Lise Garm Spindler has started work as clinical professor at AU and AUH. Her research aims to improve the results and reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy for cancer in the gastrointestinal tract.
Gastrointestinal cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in Denmark. With her professorship, Karen-Lise Garm Spindler will be able to combine clinical work and laboratory research, while at the same time using clinical studies to examine biomarkers for efficacy and side effects.
Her goal is to contribute to the development of precision medicine for cancer in the gastrointestinal tract.
