Associate Professor Marina Romero-Ramos is awarded two grants

Associate Professor and DANDRITE affiliated researcher Marina Romero-Ramos have received grants from the Danish Parkinson Foundation (Parkinsonforeningen) and from the Aarhus University Research Foundation.

Associate Professor Marina Romero-Ramos have received a 200000 DKK grant from the Danish Parkinson Foundation (Parkinsonforeningen) for the study entitled, “Role of STING in the immune response in an alpha-synuclein based rodent model". The work will cover a project developed by Master student Ida Klæstrup in Romero-Ramos’ laboratory in collaboration with Dr. Søren Riis Palludan. Marina Romero-Ramos has also received the AUFF NOVA grant of 600000 DKK from the Aarhus University Research Foundation. The grant will fund the project entitled "Single cell RNA analysis of the myeloid response in brain during alpha-synuclein neurodegeneration”, developed by PhD student Sara Almeida Ferreira in Romero-Ramos’ laboratory in collaboration with Dr Jørgen Kjems (iNANO) and Dr. Yonglun Luo (Biomed, AU).
