All lockout notices are now listed on AU’s FAQ page on OK18

All lockout notices from the Agency for the Modernisation of Public Administration applicable to AU employees are now listed on the AU staff services FAQ page.

Lockout notices have been issued for the following trade union cartels: the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC), the Danish Confederation of Public Employees of 2010 (CO10), the Confederation of Teachers Unions (LC) and the Danish Union of Journalists. The lockout is scheduled to begin on 10 April 2018 at the beginning of the day (00:00 hours). In other words, the lockout will apply to the members of the trade unions which belong to these organisations from this time. The conciliation board has the authority to postpone the date. The lockout will not take place in the event that the negotiating parties conclude new collective agreements.

To stay informed, check the FAQ page on OK18 regularly. The date and time at the top of the page indicate when the information on the page was last updated.

Who is not included in the lockout?

The majority of the university’s employees are included in the lockout, with the exception of the following groups:

  • Public servants (tjenestemænd) and staff employed on comparable terms.
  • Managers employed under the collective agreement for state sector university graduates in salary grade 36 or above.
  • Senior consultants with managerial responsibility.
  • Employees who are exempted in accordance with central or local agreements regarding emergency staffing. These employees will be informed directly.
  • Employees on individual employment contracts, which are not covered by a collective agreement because the employment relationship lies outside the scope of the collective agreement.
  • Apprentices/trainees are normally excluded from a labour dispute (in accordance the framework agreements).
  • Employees who are on unpaid leave. If the period of leave ends during the labour dispute, the labour dispute will apply to the employee in question from that point in time.
  • Employees who are not members of the unions included in the labour dispute notice.

Please note: If the lockout notice does not apply to you, please inform your immediate supervisor and your local HR department by mail as soon as possible.

If you are in doubt about how the lockout will affect you, we encourage you to consult with your union. Find your union representative here
