FinTech and Digital Banking

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to financial technology (fintech) and digital banking, with a focus on emerging and global markets. Participants will gain a broad understanding of the principles, theories, technologies, and trends shaping the digital finance landscape, including issues related to innovation, infrastructure, regulation, security, and sustainability. Through insights and case studies from emerging markets, participants will enhance their understanding of real-world applications, sharpen their critical thinking skills, and prepare for comprehensive, in-depth research in fintech, digital banking, and financial regulations.

To apply for the course you must either be enrolled in a bachelor's degree, have a bachelor's degree or have passed a qualifying entry examination.

Tastaftiyan Risfandy

Dr. Tastaftiyan Risfandy is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), specializing in banking and finance. He obtained his Ph.D. from Université de Limoges, France, and completed a postdoctoral research program at the University of New Orleans, USA. His research focuses on Islamic banking, digital financial inclusion, corporate governance, and systemic risk. He has secured numerous research grants from institutions such as Bank Indonesia, OJK, and IDIC, and has published widely in reputable international journals. Dr. Tastaftiyan is also an active peer reviewer for Scopus-indexed journals and a frequent speaker at national and international academic forums.
