Consulting Frameworks, International PMOs and Project Management

The participants will gain the knowledge of how to become an effective consultant, PMO, project, program or portfolio manager with a demonstrably sound understanding of different perspectives, approaches, frameworks and techniques that are the foundations of these professions.The purpose of the course is to help prepare future managers/leaders to better analyze and understand organizations through the design and application of consulting frameworks. Preparing them for positions within the world of projects, programs, portfolios and PMOs.

For the participants who prefer to have an operational role but want to understand more about the world of projects; this course will provide detailed insights into areas that create and ensure future organizational competitiveness.

Admission Requirements

Course specific:

A Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration or a related degree.

This course is not targeted at students who are challenged with ambiguity/uncertainty and do not wish to master them. As a hint, if a student is in or planning to be in accounting or administration for their whole career (operational certainty), then its unlikely they will enjoy this course.

Robert Joslin


Academic profile


Robert Joslin is a professor of SBS Swiss Business School chair of their 'research advisory board'. Robert has published several books, book chapters and research papers in the field of PMOs, leadership, project, program and portfolio management. He presents academic and practitioner conferences and is a peer reviewer of the three research journals in project management. Robert is the founder of AIPMO (Association of International Project Management Officers), which is headquartered in Switzerland. Previously, he was a consultant in telecom, banking, insurance, manufacturing, military defense, and direct marketing whilst working for McKinsey & Co, Logica and his own consulting company.
