Post Doc in Multi Business Model Innovation and Technology EU Horizon 2020 CENTRAL PROJECT 1023116

The Department of Business Development and Technology (BTECH) at Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University invites applications for a Post Doc position.

With reference to the newly approved European Commission Project, “Capacity building and ExchaNge towards attaining Technological Research and modernizing Academic Learning (CENTRAL )” the research group CTIF Global Capsule (CGC) seeks a postdoc to:

1.Serve as project coordinator and to represent CGC in the CENTRAL project.
2.Coordinate workshops, seminars and conferences to be held in Europe and Asia.
3.Contribute to the planning and implementation of research together with European and Asian partners.

The Post Doc position is a fixed-term two-year position. The starting date is 1st February 2019 or as agreed upon.

The CENTRAL Project aims at developing and implementing international and multicultural academic curricula in the field of ICT. The goal is to develop and implement appropriate support software tools and to build a virtual campus to facilitating cross-border cooperation of academic staff.

Job description
The Department of Business Development and Technology is dedicated to excellence in technology-driven business development as well as core business disciplines and offer study programmes in these fields.

We are looking for an eminent candidate who can strengthen our research profile and contribute to the CENTRAL project. It is paramount that the candidate conducts research on topics that are relevant to modern businesses and the CENTRAL project. Candidates with research activities involving Multi Business Model Innovation and Technology will be preferred.

The applicant is also expected to teach and supervise students in our Bachelor’s and Master’s programs. Our teaching programs in engineering include a MSc in Technology Based Business Development and two Bachelor degree programs: Business Development Engineer (BDE) and Global Management and Manufacturing (GMM). Applicants with solid experience within problem-based learning will be preferred.

Qualification requirements
Applicants for a Post Doc position should hold a PhD or equivalent academic qualifications.

Applicants are encouraged to describe how their research is linked to businesses, society and the CENTRAL project. The description could describe concrete collaborations, impact, dissemination activities, etc.

Non-Danish speakers are required to attain reasonable knowledge of the Danish language. The department will grant time off from department activities to attend Danish courses during the first two years of employment.

The Department of Business Development and Technology (BTECH) is part of Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University – a Top 100 university. Aarhus BSS – and specifically the Department of Business Development and Technology – has achieved the distinguished AASCB, AMBA and EQUIS accreditations.

BTECH is located in the business-oriented and entrepreneurial city of Herning. The department excels in business and engineering disciplines and pays particular attention to company collaborations. We have around 1,800 students and close to 100 faculty and staff. In 2017, approximately 450 students were involved in company projects in more than 250 companies ranging from SMEs to leading globals. Our incubator “Business Factory” launched 19 new businesses in 2017.

We influence society through business development and technology. For this reason, many research projects are conducted in close collaboration with industry based on new data and new technologies. These projects are generously supported by H2020, the Danish Research Council and the Danish Industry Foundation, among others.
